Welcome to the month of Aghast..er..August.

It's my custom when I'm awake during the overnight hours (which I often am) to go wandering about in the small yard that surrounds our house.  Gives me a chance to release and think as well as suck in fresh air, and I've done so for many years now (when I'm home, and the weather's nice).  This morning was different though.  There was a ghoulish, eerie haze that blanketed the whole night sky, almost frightening if one looked at it too intently.

There are ghosts in the past, and some of them have come back to tempt me.

Anyway, no one picked up the grass clippings when the lawn was last mowed, so I now have hobbit feet.

1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings?

Well, let's just say that it's usually not morning when I wake up.  Sometimes it's not afternoon either.  I only have less than 4 weeks left of this madness though.  Druing the school year it's usually somewhere around 10 A.M.

2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late?

mm..hmm...See above.  I'm definitely a nocturnal person (and that's very much a change from when I was younger, all my friends thought me a morning person.)

3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning?

Roll over and go back to sleep.  Usually.  Seriously though?  Showering is always the first actual "thing" of activity I partake in.

4. How long does it take to get ready for your day?

Let's just say that at some point in my life I expect the water works people to come banging on my door to put a halt to my enduro showers.

I like to have about an hour and a half buffer time between waking up and leaving the house.

5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast?

The cabinet.

In other news, most of those chickens I've spoken of previously met their untimely ends in the past 10 days.  We may look serene on the outside, but on the inside we're really a gang of heartless country thugs.
