In order to generate some online income as quickly as possible you need to get content published on the web as quickly and as often as possible.  Unless you are an expert web designer, it takes quite a while to decide on a "look" for your site, design the template, add the different elements of your site, and get the whole thing built and published.  This process can take several months!

Recently, I have moved away from the long process detailed above and started using blogs for just about every new site I build.  Blogs have all of the interlinking built in, they give you RSS feeds to publish, and the templates are easy to modify to your liking.  The best part of using blogs as your site management tool is that you can get one up and running in less than a day -- you can even do several in the same day once you get the hang of it.

My favorite blog tool is Wordpress -- it's free, installs quickly and cleanly, has excellent support, and is constantly being improved.
