Make The Most Of Your Ad Dollars

Here's a great lesson in advertising - put your ad money where it will work itself to death for you, and never settle for less than maximum return on investment - ignore exposure completely.

I've just wasted the past two days on eBay, clicking thousands of auction listings as fast as I could -- my mouse hand feels broken and paralyzed.  Why did I do such a thing?  Ebay is having a very cool promotion right now where they list a clue and the first person to find the answer to that clue in an auction listing wins $1,000 -- they list 25 clues a day for 8 days.  Millions of people are on eBay right now clicking on auction listings like crazy, trying to win this money.  So for $200K they are giving themselves massive exposure -- weigh that against the exposure and actual site traffic from a $2.5 million super bowl ad and you have today's lesson in marketing.
