Holistic Flu Remedy The flu vaccine is certainly in the news a lot lately. People seem to be flocking to it, hoping to stem the tide of flu infections that seems to be much worse this year than the last few years. I heard a first-hand report of a nurse at Ohio State Hospital who was asked to take the flu vaccine last month and then died of anaphalactic shock immediately upon getting the injection. That is certainly not commonplace, but it is a risk with vaccines like this. There is a safer alternative. The homeopathic product, Oscillococcinum, is used extensively in Europe and the US as an effective flu treatment. It will not keep you from getting the flu, but once you notice the first few symptoms, it may reduce symptoms dramatically and reduce the duration of your flu by half or more. Homeopathic remedies are very effective and generally do not have known interactions with pharmaceuticals, so they are usually safe for everyone. They also have few or no side effects. The package says that it should not be used with children two years old or younger. Everyone hates getting the flu. Even the thought of it has my throat tight and my stomach swirling.
