Though as I write this, World AIDS Day is just about over everywhere, it is still important to mark. In my mailbox today, I learned of AIDS campaigns by the Christian magazine Sojourners writing Bush to keep his promises on AIDS, and by Ben Cohen's True Majority campaign to urge all 10 Dem and Rep candidates to take the lead in fighting AIDS.
For those of you with a satellite dish and a taste for great music with a taste of justice, turn on LinkTV and catch Nelson Mandela, U2, Peter Gabriel and a host of others in the One Minute for AIDS Concert from South Africa. Even if you don't have a dish (BTW, LinkTV is carried on both DirecTV and Dish Network), visit the link to learn more about Mandela's 46664 organization (so named for Mandela's prison number). Buy music from the store to benefit 46664 as well. Very worthy causes, all.
