Jabra Freespeak & Treo
I used a Jabra cordless headset with my previous cell phone, which was a Samsung 6100. This headset is the FreeSpeak for Non-Bluetooth Phones. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with a "holster" (called the multi-adapter) that clips to your belt. The multi-adapter has a coiled cord that plugs into the headset jack of a cell phone, and it also serves as a charging base station when plugged into a power cord.
This set up worked great with my Samsung and I was anxious to use it with my Treo as well. Alas, I discovered that the model I bought was not compatible with the Treo. The Treo uses a Nokia-style headset adapter which is different from the adapter used by Samsung. Jabra does make a FreeSpeak for Nokia phones, I just didn't happen to buy it!
Luckily, I found an Audio Adapter (Standard 2.5mm Jack to Nokia 2.5mm Jack) on the Seido Web site. It works great with the Treo and allows me to use my Jabra headset.
When using the Jabra, I can always hear the person I'm speaking with loud and clear, and they usually don't even realize that I'm using any kind of headset. I highly recommend this headset to all Treo users. If you buy one, just be sure you purchase the FreeSpeak Headset for Nokias and not one of their other models.
