Practical advice for wannabe bloggers

Diego Doval has published a practical and readable introduction to weblogging that tells a lot about blogs and how to get started creating one.  A very practical and sound set of advice for anyone who wants to get started in this interesting world of blogging.  He follows the introduction article with a second installment on the whole topic of subscribing to weblogs and how to make it easy for someone to subscribe to your own weblog or for you to subscribe to other blogs.  Read this and give it a try.

Grid Computing is the hot emerging technology

Bob Evans writes in InformationWeek that grid computing is the hot emergent technology of the future.  Now that IBM, HP, Oracle and others have invested heavily in this paradigm, it is going to pervade corporate America systems.  The idea just makes too much sense to discard, and enterprise justice information systems will eventually figure out how to adopt this technology in larger systems.  The idea of computing power and resources applied on demand is as valuable in the justice information system field as it is in corporate America.  In both environments, wasting valuable resources can no longer be tolerated, and with this technology, huge savings and much higher availability are the consequences.
