I'm not planning to do much traveling this summer, so I'm hitching a
ride with my high-school pal, Dick Tracy (Yes, that's his real name.)
and his wife, Pat, as they make their way from their home in Fleetwood,
Pennsylvania to Alaska and back again. Dick retired earlier this year
for the third (and, he says, final, time), and he and Pat bought a
36-foot motorhome (Think: bus you can live in.), gave it a test run to
Branson, MO for a reunion of Dick's naval colleagues, then headed
west for Alaska and the great unknown.
I have to give them credit for being adventuresome! I don't think I'd
undertake such a trip, but so far, they seem to be doing great. To
follow their adventures, click here.
When you get to that page, simply bookmark it and you can go back there
any time you want to. Their page, called "Travelin' with the Tracys" is
a discrete page on my weblog, but so far I haven't figured out how to
post the link in my navigation menu.
Dick will send me posts and photos and I will post them for him, so
check it out. And please give Dick and Pat your comments. I'm sure he
wants to know what visitors think of their adventures.
Later...
