I'm going through a dating spell right now (meaning I'm trying out a variety of fish in the sea). Talking with near-strangers often reminds me how different people are. I think it's easy to get caught up in knowing the kinds of people that you spend time with and forgetting that there are so many other types out there.
One of my friends just called me the Simon [re: american idol] of dating 'cause I am a tough critic. I want someone to be funny. Really funny. And smart. And have a nice smile. And open doors and walk me to my car. And be easygoing. And like to do interesting things. And have a good job.
Is that too picky?
It's such a time consuming process. Sometimes I think maybe it's not such a bad thing to stay single and not deal with it. If it weren't for that desire to grow old with someone and have little ones to rock to sleep at night, I wouldnt even put any effort into it...
