Three held over killing of journalist [The Japan Times]

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of abandoning the body of freelance journalist Satoru Someya, who was well-known for his stories about the activities of Chinese crime gangs in the capital's Kabukicho district and was found murdered in Tokyo Bay in September. Another man has also been arrested and a third person is being questioned. All three work in the lock industry.

Someya had written about the recent spree of lock-picking burglaries in Tokyo which police say are the work of Chinese gangs.

UPDATE: The third suspect has now been arrested.
