10/6/03 I had my last radiation last Thursday and met with Dr. Melian on Friday. He examined me and said, "Now get outta here. I have to go take care of some sick people."
He told me that he's quite sure the tumors are gone around my eye and on my spine. Now we just wait and see what happens next. If I'm lucky, I won't need treatment for years - but it could be months. I will have more scans - probably in December. Merry Christmas!! In the meantime, 1/2 of my face is quite red, and I DO get tired. But am planning to return to work - at least 1/2 days - next week. It's time to get on with my normal life!! I couldn't have done it so easily without the love and support of my family and friends - like YOU! How lucky can a girl be???
