The N&R reports on a 'pilot program' at Gen. Greene Elementary. Four sets of microphones and amplifiers have been purchased by the PTA at General Greene Elementary to raise the teacher's voice above the din of classroom activity.
This is not so new. Aycock Middle School installed these devices in every classroom over the summer and the teachers seem to like them just fine.
In other Aycock news: High profile middle school principal-of-the-year-finalist Dr. William Price has been replaced in a mid-year shake-up at my favorite school. Falkener Elementary principal and GCS's elementary principal-of-the-year Marilyn Foley has been re-assigned as Aycock's new principal effective yesterday.
No word yet on Ms. Foley's view on school uniforms.
