Mr Sun 'live-mocked' Greensboro's American Idol auditions.  Have pity on the poor guy and go read his somber observations on the talent, or lack there of, that Greensboro is now known for. 

So how did Greensboro come off to the rest of the world last night?  I'd give us a mixed review.  What we want to be known for is the likes of that pretty Pickler girl who drove up from Albemarle and wowed everyone with her innocent southern charm and compelling life story.  But what Fox promoted to the 'nth degree, of course, was the obnoxious and vulgar Ronetta, who was from - where else? - Charlotte.

NBC has cancelled The Book of Daniel (via Matt Hill) effective immediately.  After catching the last episode I can't say I'm sorry its gone.  Not because it was about a disfunctional family headed by an Episcopal minister on Vicodin, not because Jesus was portrayed as the preacher's confidant (I thought that was the coolest part), not because the now-crowing AFA railed against the show. 

It's just that when you got past the otherwise promising mix of sex, drugs and religion, the show wasn't very entertaining.
