I am so sorry to hear the flu bug bit you, you have my sympathy, I'm
sure you are miserable. I got my flu shot last week, and with all of
the runny noses, and coughs I run into in the classroom, I sure was
glad to have it.
I can't believe that I have substituted 24 days since school began, and
have another 6 already reserved for November and December. It almost
feels like full-time.
Michele, our Reunion scorekeeper, had surgery to repair a bulging disk
and pinched nerve in her neck. She now has a steel plate and several
screws, for support. For the past 4 weeks, she had very little control
of her arm, and hand. The feeling and control was very minimal, but the
pain intense. She went home this morning, 16 hours following surgery,
wearing a hard brace. She will be in the hard brace for 8 weeks, and a
soft brace for 4 weeks. It is truly amazing what now can be done with
surgery patients, in such a minimal length of time.
Hope you will soon be feeling better, and can enjoy the beautiful weather.
