Changing Names
Some of us have changed our first names since '58: Delores to Dee Dee,
Leon to Lee, and Bill to Will. (Pat denies that she was ever Betty Jo;
and Jo does not respond to Joyce.) That's all part of growing up and
away from parents, who gave us little choice about our names.
Today, CNN is reporting that one Raymond Allen Gray Jr. of Springfield,
an employee in the office of the Secretary of State, has legally
changed his name to......Bubba Bubba Bubba.
His parents, now deceased, could not be reached for comment.
