iTunes Europe sells 800,000 songs in first week. It was just over a week ago that Apple introduced its iTunes Music Store to consumers in the UK, Germany and France. On Wednesday, Apple announced that during its first full week of operation, the iTunes Music Store sold 800,000 songs to users in those countries. More than 450,000 songs were sold in the UK alone. Agfa Monotype adds 100 more fonts to Fonts.com. Agfa Monotype on Wednesday announced the addition of more than 100 more typefaces to its Fonts.com service from five newly added type foundries: Fine Fonts, PixieType, RJH Productions, Typebox and Ultimate Symbol. Individual fonts are available in PostScript and TrueType formats for Mac and Windows ranging from US$22 for individual fonts to $88 for volumes. [MacCentral]

Canada's new quarter.

The contest to design a commemorative quarter for this year's Canada Day was won by an 11-year-old from BC with this great, cartoony design. I think this is the best coin I've ever seen.
