Hooking Generic Apache up to OC4J

A new feature that was added to the OracleAS 10g (9.0.4) release is the ability to plug the mod_oc4j routing module we ship with Oracle HTTP Server into a generic Apache 1.3.x server. More details can be found in the documentation @ http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10464_01/web.904/b10381/oc4jplugin.htm#639201.

Both static and dynamic routing can be supported from Apache, depending on what level of configuration you go to.

I've not had a chance to try it personally, but it has been quite a common feature request.
