I finished reading God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian by Kurt Vonnegut.
Vonnegut has this funny way of writing from the first person, where you can never quite tell what's real and what's made-up. In this book, he goes on a series of "adventures" beyond this plane of existence by having Jack Kevorkian end his life then bring him back. While he's gone, he travels through the "tunnel of light" to the gates of Heaven and interviews dead people.
The book itself is a series of chapters, each of which represents one interview. Some of them are famous people, such as Adolph Hitler, or Isaac Newton. Many are "just folks."
It's a very quick read, but great fun and thought-provoking.
Next: The Stupidest Angel, by Christopher Moore (again).
