Here's a link to the speech that Harvard President Larry Summers gave last month at a conference, where he stuck his foot in his mouth by saying that he believed the low numbers of women in math and science was potentially due to inherent differences between men and women.
It makes for interesting reading. Many lessons here: one is that even when you say you're speaking unofficially, you're not. Spokespeople are always on the record, for better or worse.
