WBF, the Forum for Automation and Manufacturing Professionals, says its forthcoming Conference will enable attendees to "jazz up" their manufacturing processes. Added to the agenda for 2006 are updated tutorials on ISA-88 and ISA-95; and three new tutorials on SP99 (security), Application of the B2MML schemas, and "How to Deal with Legal Issues Facing the Automation Industry. The NA Conference will be held March 5 - 8 in Atlanta at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, located near the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.
Affiliated organizations MESA International and the Control and Information Systems Integrators Association (CSIA) are participating in the program. MESA will present a session on system security.
Formerly known as World Batch Forum, the organization, like many, is trying to expand its scope. Automation World must have found the hot niche. It seems that everyone is adding "automation" to their descriptions lately--that's a good thing. This looks like a good forum. I may have to fight Jane and Wes for the opportunity to go.
