It's almost like April Fools Day came a day early for me. Friday I posted comments on the ISA SP104 committee on EDDL and the press release from the FDT Group about being the truly open device description protocol. Then, almost like magic, I received a press release from ISA this morning announcing another one-person standards committee--ISA SP103--on, you guessed it, FDT. The originator of this one is evidently Klaus-Peter Linder of Endress. I'm sure both committee chairs are looking for volunteers. Here's an opportunity for service.
