Gotta wonder about how the manager gave instructions. I just stopped by McDonalds for a quick sandwich after Yoga (no comments about a Yoga eating style, this is what happens when your wife has a meeting and you're all alone) and saw an employee (20s, male) dilligently sweeping at a small piece of something in the drive. Less than 5 feet away was a board laying right in the middle of the entry into the lot. He never picked it up. Saw him 10-15 minutes later in another part of the lot sweeping at small items. So, did the manager say "go sweep up the parking lot" instead of "please clean the parking lot"? How do we give instructions? Are we clear? Can we be taken literally by clueless employees?
