I recently ran across this whiteboarding Website for online collaboration. I haven't tried it in a meeting, but it surely looks interesting. It's called Twiddla. You can visit and give it a tryout.

I just received a release out of the blue about a design experience sponsored by, of all things, an X-Sports equipment manufacturer. Since Iâo[dot accent]m pretty much just into soccer and I live far (really far) from either beaches or mountains, I have no knowledge of Quicksilver. But now I do. I also was one of those sucker kids who entered the old Fisher Body care design contests of the early 60s (only to find out years later that the winners were always sons of Fisher Body design employees). But I learned to sketch concept cars, make clay models and then cut out the shape in wood. All of these skills being crucial to my current employment (not)!
At any rate, Iâo[dot accent]ll be following the project of Khrystyne Zurian as she creates the interior and exterior of a concept vehicle that reflects the active, healthy and ecofriendly experience of independent and creative young women. It's not really an automation story, but I find it interesting and really like to encourage young people in pursuit of their (legal) passions.
She is a 26 year-old Transportation Design student at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. As a resident for Quiksilver siteLA, Khrystyne will design the interior and exterior of an eco-friendly concept vehicle that reflects the active, ecoconscious and healthy lifestyle of independent and creative young women. Khrystyne will begin with a research phase. She will conduct a series of focused conversations through the network of partners and individuals associated with Quiksilver siteLA in an effort to thoroughly and accurately evaluate the needs and concerns of her target audience. She will also investigate new technologies and trends that will inform her design process. Khrystyne will then sketch, digitally model and build the interior and exterior of a vehicle that will integrate the collective findings of her research.
The Quiksilver siteLA team will curate an exhibition and host a marquee-opening event at the Quiksilver siteLA venue to present this project. This showcase will feature the 1â[trademark][greater equal]4 scale exterior model and the full size interior model as well as various artifacts from the research and development process. Khrystyne will be paired up with an emerging documentary filmmaker who will document the entire project, from focus groups to the fabrication of the interior. This documentary will be toured and screened in late 2008.
To celebrate the introduction of its new collection for women, Quiksilver has selected six independent and creative women to be "Visionaries in Residence" at Quiksilver siteLA, an 1800 square-foot communal work and exhibition space in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.
Over the course of a year Quiksilver is offering these women valuable resources and support that will help them pursue their passions and expose their personal projects. siteLA functions as a venue for creative programming and special events stemming from the residentsâo[dot accent] personal projects. Through exhibitions, performances and educational forums, the Visionaries in Residence will showcase their ongoing activity as artists, activists, entrepreneurs and designers.
