Om Malik is a respected journalist, blogger and entrepreneur in the high tech sector. I agree wholeheartedly with this post where he hopes that when we say good-bye to 2008 we also say good-bye to mediocrity.

This Calvin & Hobbes cartoon strip was written 15 years ago, but it could have been just last month. It unfortunately explains too much American capitalism the way it's played today. Can't make products customers want, can't get the price I want. "I need to be subsidized."
