Too Many Colonoscopies? You bet!
The greedy docs are at it again - many are performing unnecessary colonoscopies,
a new study says.
The findings suggest physicians are not following clinical guidelines by overusing the screening test for colon cancer. In turn, this strains an already limited resource and eats up manpower and money, according to the report in the Aug. 17 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine.
