Opening Ceremonies
This morning we watched the opening ceremonies of the Canada Summer Games on TV. We saw the Yukon girls' soccer team (they're playing in Week 1 while the boys are in Week 2) and now we're hoping they might telecast part of one of the Yukon's games. I think it just dawned on Alan and Jared (his friend who's now living with us) just how big a deal this is for them. They're very excited.
Alan's face is even more swollen today than it was on Friday night. They warned him that today would be the worst day...after that the swelling should slowly go down. I hope he's close to normal by the time he leaves for Regina.
Hiatus
This will probably be my last posting for a couple of weeks, since Jamie and I leave early tomorrow morning for Nova Scotia and then Vancouver. See you soon Lucca.
