Cholesterol Drug Shaking Up the Market
It seems to me that there might be some replacement of the drug industry for the tobacco industry - tobacco used to be a huge business for the Madison Avenue advertising houses, but is now so tightly regulated that it must be difficult for them to sell their services there. The drug companies, on the other hand, must be fertile ground for the advertising houses. One wonders how much of all this is carefully designed and generated "spin" and "buzz"... Big Business Pharmaceutical Houses, being aided and driven by Big Business Advertising Houses, with Big Business Research Houses happily hanging on for the ride... everybody bellying up to the feed trough... emptying the pockets of a willing government and a gullible public.
