Another Natural Substance Outlawed
Complete regulatory control of nutritional and natural substances is just around the corner. On the surface this might appear good, but beneath the threat of regulation lies something quite sinister.
The FDA's swift and gaining-momentum encroachment on our freedom to use natural substances is in no way an effort to protect us. The substances that are being outlawed are not dangerous, most have never had a single complaint or adverse effect reported. Instead, the FDA is shutting down the supplement industry on the grounds that it "makes unsubstantiated claims." In other words, product manufacturers cannot tell you what the product is supposed to do, and even if backed by numerous scientific studies, these claims are against the law if they did not go through the multi-million dollar process that drugs go through for FDA approval. This is bogus "protection," and a serious curtailment of our freedom.
I have recently had several requests for the product Skin Answer (which Wellness Club used to sell until the ban). This herbal product was excellent for removing sun and age skin spots and even worked well for non-melanoma skin cancers. It was inexpensive, easy to use and effective--- all good reasons for the FDA to outlaw it. The FDA closed 'em down, not because there was a single complaint from anyone who used it, but because the stuff actually worked. A simple, inexpensive remedy really ticks off Big Pharmacy and Big Medicine because they want ALL the money, not just most of it! OK, so I'm steamed at this decision. The FDA is systematically grabbing your freedom to use natural remedies. Please read yesterday's blog to learn more about this scandal.
If I find anything similar to Skin Answer, I'll let you know right away. For now, "Skin Answer" is gone.... down the tube where many of our freedoms are going.....
