Many Fake Black Cohosh
Products on the Market

Black cohosh, an herb used to treat menopausal hot flashes, has been found to be absent in many "black cohosh" formulas sold to consumers. Studies have shown that Black cohosh can be effective for many women, but not if it is absent from a formula that claims to contain it.

This will come as no surprise to my Wellness Club members. I have been warning people for years that you simply must know the source of your nutritional supplements and herbs to ensure purity and potency. Consumer Reports found that a high percentage of products sold in health food stores does not contain the amount of ingredients claimed on the label. In other cases, as with black cohosh, the product might not contain ANY of the advertized substance!

I am a stickler for quality control at The Wellness Club. That is why I have been dubbed "The Dragon Lady" in the nutrition industry. But really, when it concerns quality and effectiveness, wouldn't you rather have a Dragon Lady in your corner?

Dr. Myatt
