So... after the 767% more expensive, new and FDA-approved fish oil scam, can "prescription" Vitamin D be far away now? At hugely inflated prices, as has happened with the "new" FDA sanctioned and approved "prescription" fish oil, available now through your conventional doctor from your local pharmacy at over 700 % more than the cost of comparable fish oil available from the health food store next door.
Is there any wonder that the US health care system is so financially overwhelmed? Insurance providers can only pay for "drugs" that are "prescribed" with an official slip of paper - "The Prescription" - and dispensed from an official pharmacy - "The Drug Store". Nothing else is deemed legitimate for coverage under most health care drug plans. What a sad reflection of the power of the Big Pharma Companies and their lapdog the FDA!
As I See It,
Nurse Mark
