Venture Capital. . .

According to a VC I met yesterday, now is a really good time to be looking for Venture Capital.  He said that VC's have money that they must invest before the end of this year or they will lose that money.  He also said it is easier for them to invest larger amounts rather than smaller ones.  Very interesting. . .

Shareware Conference Day 2. . .

Yesterday, Dan Fernandez, Jed Rose and I gave a presentation at the Shareware Industry Conference.  Having been a MicroISV most of my career, I was quite excited to address the group and was very, very impressed with the honest give-and-take.  I'm very energized to continue to try to make small developers more successful as they try to navigate the Microsoft information ocean.

Podcasting for Business. . .

Podblaze.com (www.podblaze.com) is offering a free white paper titled "What you don't know about Podcasting could hurt your business".  Rodney Rumford has put together a 20 page overview that looks worthwhile to me.

Podcast of the day. . .

Pirate Weather

http://www.pirateweather.com/

They're offering RSS feeds and podcasts for every zip code in the United States.

The podcasts are created using text-to-speech software.

Manic Minute Recommendation: Great new use of syndication technology and podcasting. . . But can they do anything about the rain?

And that's your Manic Minute for July 16th, 2005!
