Seattle Podcasting. . .
Last night was another monthly meeting of the Seattle Podcasters Meetup group. I was blown away by the energy, intelligence and inspiration of this group of podcasters. Buzz Bruggeman who runs a small software company called ActiveWords, came and talked about the power of a casual comment he made 55 minutes into a podcast last year that sparked a huge spike in sales.
The local Seattle podcasting scene is quite active. You can check out the blog and podcast at www.seattlepodcasting.net
Podcasting post production. . .
I've now produced a few hundred podcasts and I'm searching for some tools to help automate the post production process. I use Cakewalk Sonar to record and mix the all my other podcasts and it's easy to then export a WAV file of the final show. The process of setting the MP3 tags as well as encoding to WMA (a requirement for my Microsoft podcasts) and then FTPing the result is a extremely manual process.
Leave a comment on this blog post at www.softwareland.org or email me at michael@business-podcasting.com if you know any tools that might help.
