Useful, free utility

The uninstall program that comes with Windows sometimes leaves things behind. If this bothers you, try Revo Uninstaller. From its website:

"Revo Uninstaller helps you to remove any unwanted application installed on your computer.

With its advanced and fast algorithm to scan before and after uninstall of an application you can remove unnecessary files, folders and registry keys left over in your computer. Even if you have a broken installation Revo Uninstaller scans for application's data on your hard disk drives, Windows registry and shows all found files, folders and registry items so you can delete them. Book Reviews from Investigate Some Good Books participants

Homicide Blond by Maurice Proctor: INXS made me pick up this book, but it's nothing like "Suicide Blonde". This book is old. It stinks. Both literally and figuratively.

Killing Kelly by Heather Graham: Good book with a great plot keeps you guessing.

Born Twice by Giuseppe Pontiggia: The most realistic fiction I've ever encountered. This story of a father's transfiguration while raising a handicapped child is painfully insightful. It took a very long time to read this book because each word has so much meaning.

Sleep no more by Greg Iles: As always, Greg Iles kept me guessing! This novel has a supernatural twist and though I usually don't enjoy that type of book, I must say I couldn't put this one down. I kept expecting a logical explanation for the happenings, but it will keep you wondering until the very end!

Mistress's Daughter by A. M. Homes: A 'great' story. Striving for years to learn who the author "was", where she came from ,who were her parents and why they gave her away. Years of struggle and little help and honesty. Left me with compassion for her. How sad.

Gray Ghost by William G. Tapply: Not many of us get the chance to start over with a clean slate like Stoney Calhoun. Stoney makes the most of the opportunity--working in a fishing shop, tying flys and relaxing with his dog Ralph on the banks of the Maine creek that runs near his house and not even thinking about his first life before he got struck by lightning and his memory wiped out.

Shape of Sand by Marjorie Eccles: This is the first book by this author that I've read and think I'd like to find more. Victorian mysteries set in England are often my favorites.

Future Scrolls by Fern Michaels: You just can't put it down.
