The Fall 2007 Stock Market Game has ended.
The Alaska Winners Are
The 1st Place High School portfolio was Team A10 from Eielson AFB. Their portfolio value was $107,985.58 which outperformed the S&P 500 by 9.4%.
The 1st Place Middle School portfolio was Team A7 from Crooked Creek. Their portfolio value was $99,938.37 which outperformed the S&P500 by 1.4%.
The Alaska Overall winner was Team A18, a Teacher Only team. The portfolio of these two teachers totaled $108,529 which outperformed the S&P 500 by 9.6%.
Congrats to the winners and all participants. Many thanks to the teachers who bring economic, market, and investing information to their students.
My portfolio ended the Game in 8th place with a value of $101,l37 which outperformed the S&P 500 by 2.4%. Garmin did me in when I wasn't paying attention to my Game portfolio---true to life. Fortunately, my own portfolio received a bit closer supervision.
