Anchorage Hockey
Husband and I went to the UAA Seawolves -Wisconsin hockey games Friday and Saturday evenings. Yes, I know, we lost Friday night and tied Saturday night. They are playing well--good passing, good play setups, lots of shots on goal, good goal tending except for Saturday night which was sort of the reason we tied, but all in all they just haven't learned how to make that final push to win. Some good hockey to watch though.
The hockey game of the week for Anchorageites was the New York Rangers against the Pittsburgh Penguins game. Three Anchorage players were playing: Scotty Gomez and Brandon Dubinisky for the Rangers; Ty Conklin for the Penguins. It was such fun to watch Scotty shoot and shoot again at Ty. Scotty is doing well with the Rangers. I wondered at first after his free agent move from the Devils. It just took him a while to settle into the line. I'm excited for Ty. Great publicity for the Anchorage hockey program.
Football today and everyone knows how that turned out!
