BBC - Peter Radcliffe, father of Paula, will head up the body charged with report that George Bunner, the chairman of the AAA, was far from downbeat at the prospect of the AAA being replaced. "There is no question of this being imposed on us," he said, adding that five people from the AAA are on the new England board.
Bunner added: "We've got to modernise and will be working hard with Peter Radcliffe."
Bunner also pointed out that officials from the current English territories will be "deeply involved" in talks to set up the nine new regions.
Whereas this dismantling of the AAA is the first major post-Foster change, other organisations such as UKA are expected to undergo similar restructuring in the near future.
Clubs will also be heavily involved in the new England. Clubs have yet to vote on proposals to replace the AAA and the new body, but they will potentially have a very strong voice in the new set up.
"Clubs and counties will be the driving force in these new regions," said Bunner, "and the chairmen they elect will give them a direct path to the English forum."
