Deakes Heads for the Hills

Australia[base

Athletics Australia - After a short break from training following the Athens Olympics, Bronze Medallist Nathan Deakes today headed for Thredbo to attend an intense two week altitude training camp.

Accompanied by the National squad, Nathan will focus on endurance expecting to clock up somewhere around 210km each week in running and race walking.

'Thredbo is a training camp that I always look forward to. It is extremely hard work, but excellent conditioning for the upcoming months of training and competition.' said Nathan.

Nathan's next major event will be the Canberra A-Series on the 5 February 2005.
