Robert Korzeniowski retires as WR holder for 50km, and world leader for 2004 at 50km At the Russian walks championships in Cheboksary in June, Denis Nizhegorodov set a [OE]world record[base '] for the 50k walk of 3:35.29, taking 34 seconds off Robert Korzeniowski[base ']s mark from Paris. However, it appears that Nizhegorodov[base ']s time did not pass the IAAF recognition test, though no announcement has been made as to what the exact problem was. Korzeniowski remains the WR holder at 3:36:03 and the World Leader of 2004 at 50km with 3:38:46 (Athína 27 08 2004). 1:03:18 PM     comment []
