Note from Martin on European Cup standards
'I now have confirmed the selection policy for the Euro Cup in May. These are more or less the same as indicated in Leamington at the beginging of the month - only change is to the senior women's time. Remember that these are guide line times, achieving the time will not guarantee selection, but conversly, failing to achieve the time will not automatically discount you from consideration. '
'Selection will be immediately after the Leamington GP on 17 April. Performances up to that date from 1 August 2004. will be considered, but the more recent performances will take precedent.'

An impressive 49:23 win for Darrell Stone at the Belgrave Open 7 Miles in Wimbledon today.
His closest challenger was Nick Ball also of Steyning AC (left with Estlé Viljoen) while the women's race had a surprise winner in Belgrave's Maureen Noel (presented with her prize by 1956 Olympain and Belgravian Eric Hall).

Long time Belgravian Ray Middleton, one of the past greats honoured at the Leamington Bid dinner, made a special presentation to the club of a framed silk banner from the Tokyo 1964 Olympics in which he competed in the 20km.
Carl Lawton accepted the award that was in honour of Ray's wife Jean.
