As you can see, I'm trying different weather services. What I really need is a weather web service that allows me to extract the data I need to and put it in the dimensions and space I want, rather than the predefined layout I get through either Intellicast or The Weather Channel. I would be more than happy to let everyone know which service I am getting the data from through an image of some sort. 4:03:22 PM

I am buying a new laptop today. With some of the impending changes, looks like I'll need to provide my own tools on the job. I am buying one of the new HP zt1000 series, the zt1180 to be specific. It is a truly powerful machine: 1.2GHz PIII-M processor, 512MB of RAM, a 40GB HDD, and a 15" TFT display. All of this for just under $2,000. It also has three USB ports, a firewire port, on board modem and NIC. Here's the link if you want to take a look: HP zt1000 series. 10:32:34 AM

It is very interesting that this is being published out of China rather than the US. It would appear that there is a hot bed of fresh minds over there just waiting to be able to reach out to the rest of the world.
Free Software Magazine, Issue 01 is published. The Free Software Magazine, Issue 01, has just been published by Free Software Foundation, China Academy or FSF-China. It is available in html and pdf and printed copies can also be ordered from the publisher. The content is also available from a mirror in the USA at www.free-soft.org. This magazine is supported by the FSF and is dedicated specifically to free software. Its includes technical articles, news and essays about free software projects and of general interests to the community. [kuro5hin.org] 9:38:39 AM
