Drivel:  Who said a couple of tin cans and string aren't high-tech?  Not these guys.  This is amazing!

Good to the Last Ping: Yuban coffee can-based antennas are good enough, but other tin cans with connectors work slightly better. All of them beat the Pringles design. Building your own antenna never sounded easier. [80211b News]  10:12:01 PM   comments ()

Drivel:  I don't get this.  The Liberty Alliance is just a front with no teeth.  It is founded by a bunch of companies that don't want to see Microsoft take over the whole networked identity space.  I am not a big fan of Microsoft taking over this space either, but Microsoft at least has a solution on the table.  The Liberty Alliance hasn't published any technical specifications or even come close to outlining a solution.  Additionally, have you seen what it costs to be a member?

EarthLink, Nextel join Liberty Alliance. The Liberty project--originally founded by Sun Microsystems--now has 38 companies working to create a standard method for computer users to identify themselves on the Net. [CNET News.com]  10:07:35 PM   comments ()
