I discovered such a simple thing in Radio last weekend. I can't believe that I didn't figure it out until now. There was some discussion about NewsIsFree and XML. I fiddled with trying to figure out how to get more newsfeed other than what comes installed in Radio. Eureka moment! Copy and paste the URL with .xml on the end.
For instance, meryl's notes is: http://www.meryl.net/blog/index.xml
Copy and paste that into http://127.0.0.1:5335/system/pages/subscriptions of Radio. Hit ADD. Ta-da! You have another news resource added your long, time-consuming list. But, at least, I put in some news resources to help me with finding news for writing research.
I'm telling ya... the content part of Radio is only a tiny fraction of what this powerhouse can do. It's the rest of the stuff that blows me away. God, this sounds like a commercial when I'm just trying to tell it like it is. It does behave like my stubborn 3-year-old when it comes to content and making the nav links work properly.
I wonder how I can turn it into a k-log in a work environment. Unfortunately, we're not allowed to add software nor am I in the position to make recommendations. We manage tons of files: process documents, process descriptions, meeting minutes, and so on. How do you turn those docs into XML and load it into a central repository, where everyone has access? Can't do it for real, but it would be nice to figure out how it could be done. 9:30:35 PM
