From Rebecca: Woman hugs her airline toilet seat. I can imagine her legs were quite numb by the time they helped her get out.  3:39:36 PM

RTFM has been around a lot longer than the 'Net and Gary shares the HOWTO which is from Microsoft (but, apparently, not always accesible).

Testing 1... 2... 3... Whoop! Meryl's permalinks work!!! Now, I can point you right to her intelligent quotes.  11:55:08 AM

SBC Posts Lower Results. I am sorry, I am sorry. This is not my fault. I did everything they told me to do!  11:21:16 AM

It's praise your fave senior citizen week, no only does Jordan scores 40 in big win, but also Indy is coming back. <grin>   11:18:47 AM

Apache 1.3.23 Hits the Web. The Apache Software Foundation releases a new version of the Web server software that consists mainly of bug fixes. How I wish I had a server that I could manage and install Apache on my own. It was fun doing that when I was a student at NYU.  10:50:21 AM

Heeb Magazine is launching! "Look for coverage soon via Reuters, Newsday, and a bunch of other places. Of course, we will not have truly arrived until Martha Stewart Living covers us, and you bet your ass we're saving our favorite shmaltz-fusion recipes for that one.

To you blessed souls who have already subscribed: the magazine is being mailed tomorrow. And to all you suckers who haven't: get on it already. You can also expect to see us in major chain bookstores and the finest independents by mid-February - please help us out by bugging their managers to carry Heeb. And really now, what better to fill all that empty newsstand space that Talk leaves behind than a radical Jewish magazine with a vaguely offensive name? Hooray!

Finally, if you live in the New York area, you are cordially invited to witness the damage done to a room on Lower East Side when we celebrate our launch:

Tuesday, February 5th, 8 PM - 12 AM

Essex Restaurant

120 Essex @ Rivington

DJ's Nappy G, Chris Feeling, and Filet O' Fresh...Pyrotechnics by Scratch'em Productions...Hasidic go-go's...plus special guests

Sponsored by Tanqueray, Stella Artois, Boddingtons Pub Ale, and Yonah Schimmel Knishery...Must be 21+ to attend.

If you don't live here, send your friends who do. We're a friendly bunch, so introduce yourself, stroke our egos, and tell us how you always knew those kids asleep in the back row of Hebrew school would amount to something after all. See you there!

Sounds like my kinda group! Look forward to their inaugural screw ups.

Dave mentions Jim was laid off the day before his son was born. I am sorry to hear that. I have a sister who found out one year ago on her only nephew's birthday that she has liver cancer. Then, three months after that ON her birthday, she got laid off. Yeah, crappy economy.  8:07:41 AM

Purty coffeemug. Better than my ugly blue mug.   8:06:32 AM
