Monday, May 15, 2000Looks like the DSL connection is working now, just not my ISP.
I know it's already all over the weblogging world, but Pyra made their first of two big announcements today. I'm guessing that this and the second big announcement points to an entirely new, yet (to quote the big evhead) interesting direction for Pyra.

Monday, May 15, 2000My DSL connection might actually be up as my Cisco 675 is flashing some LEDs that normally indicate that everything's functioning. Despite these positive signs internet connectivity is still not working yet. Oddly enough that's just the motivation I needed to finally configure my laptop to use its internal modem. I had to get online and download that classic Mac terminal emulator Z-Term so that I can connect to the 675's management port and check the configurations. Hopefully that will yield some clues.

MacOS X InfoWell, I was so busy working on a cranky PC this morning that I completely forgot about Steve Job's WWDC keynote. Looks like there will be a public beta this summer, but the final version won't be released until January. Apple has updated their site with the latest MacOS X info so go take a look if you're interested.

Being John MalkovitchI finally saw Being John Malkovitch over the weekend. It ended up being more twisted than I thought it would be, but I definitely enjoyed it. And of course the puppetry was really amazing at times.
Updates are going to continue to be sparse until I get DSL up and running at my apartment (supposedly in another week or so).
