Does anyone else think that the folks at Pyra have had more than enough time to calculate which Blogs are hot on the main Blogger page? I think they should change the title to Not as in: We really ought to get our act together and put something here, but we're too busy hiring cool people and working on secret projects. So now we're not.

I think my weblog rating of 50% is pretty much accurate. And I don't really care one way or the other.

Road Trip! Jack blogs his journey from Atlanta to San Francisco. I'll probably be taking a road trip of my own in the opposite direction come August when my friend Jesse heads across teh country to New Jersey for a position with Teach for America. I don't know if I'll be able to blog during that trip, but I'm planning on taking a lot of pictures.
Speaking of trips, Mary and I are headed to Washington DC on Wednesday for the ABA conference she's presenting at. We'll only be there until Monday, but it should be a lot of fun, especially since I spent nine days last August vacationing back there with my family and know my way around a little.

I guess I should have called in earlier this week. US West seems to have changed their Cisco 675 settings and that was the reason I wasn't able to login despite showing good activity. Once a friendly customer service rep instructed me on the appropriate settings changes I was golden!

Sunday Downtown

It's always nice to look at the Fresh Blogs list late at night and see that some of my fellow bloggers are up fiddling around at this hour as well.

Yesterday, I got to spend a few hours visiting with Steve Jungk, one of my best friends from college. He was in town with his family for a wedding and I hadn't seen him since last August during his brother's wedding. We walked downtown to grab some lunch at The Olive Garden and shot the breeze about all the various people I hadn't kept in contact with since college but was still curious about. Unfortunately he had to head back to Seattle shortly afterward.

The contrast between downtown Spokane on a Sunday and downtown Spokane during Saturday night's Lilac Parade was pretty amazing. I'm guessing less than one percent the number of people that were out for the annual event were on the streets yesterday. The next big downtown event is of course Hoopfest at the end of June. I'm planning to watch a lot of basketball and take a lot of pictures.
