PHP on MacOS XPHP on Mac OS X
"Mac OS X provides a great environment for PHP development. The BSD underpinnings of Mac OS X allow PHP to run as an Apache module in its native Unix environment. Using Mac OS X, programmers will see the same stability and extensibility from PHP they have seen in their production servers that run BSD, Linux, Solaris, and other Unix variants."

M's LoseColon, Indians suprise Mariners with six-hit shutout
I caught parts of the first three or four innings in between work, but then I had to leave for a meeting. Looks like the M's have a perfect opportunity to demonstrate the resolve they've shown all season long come Thursday. I'm definitely going to move a tv into my office prior to the next game.
Aside from his base stealing gaff I thought Ichiro played pretty well during the first half of the game. Brett Boone on the other hand didn't do as well as I had hoped. Colon is tough when he's on though, no question. And Freddy was disappointing. A game like this makes Pete Gillick's mid-season desire to get an elite pitcher all the more understandable.

Mariners Start Their Playoff RunThe MLB playoffs begin today and the Mariners start their run for the championship against the Cleveland Indians in less than a half hour. Although I'm certainly excited for the playoffs to begin I'm also a little sad that my dad isn't around to experience it. He was a big Mariners fan and back in April during the last weeks of his life, one of his few remaining pleasures was watching these guys on TV. And they certainly didn't let him down as they barrelled out of Spring Training. With a 16-4 record in the days before he died this Mariners team served notice that this was the start of something special. Now 100 wins later the regular season is over, but the memories remain. Thank you Seattle Mariners.
