The Inquirer: IBM: Don't power IDE hard drives over eight hours a day. [Hack the Planet]

Gee, I wonder what the nice folks over at Western Digital and Seagate (the places i think I'm going to start recommending clients get their drives from now) have to say about this.

By the way, I've looked over my last bunch of posts, and in doing so realized that they are...um...eclectic? Well, ok, they're wandering, and somewhat unreadable. My apologies to all NONE of you who are actually reading this. :) I'm going to work on it.

On a related musical note, I've been running an AudioGalaxy client for a while (I'm using OpenAG for Mac OS X), and it''s kinda cool to watch and see who has been downloading what from my machine. some of my odder stuff had been pretty popular, which is neat to see. The Crow soundtrack, stuff like that.

The other neat thing is that, listening to Radio Paradise, I heard a song I'd kind of forgotten about "Dear God", which I found a couple of copies of to pick from. I ALSO found a copy of a song of the same name by Fishbone, who I've been meaning to listen to more of.

Please, think of the animals!

Y'know, sometimes as we humans move forward into newer, better, technologies, we forget the impact that these technologies can have on the animals around us.

Ok, it's just funny and Mac OS X related. :)

Do You Remember Internet Radio?
While I don't listen to KPIG much, they have a good "What can I do? Section on the whole Internet Broadcasting thing. And y'know, While their brand of music ain't really mine... Give KPIG a listen.

Wouldn't it be nice if radio sounded like this again? I mean the "interludes"; Firesign Theater, silly songs, shit like that.

Alternately, if KPIG is too much unlike your tastes, also try out Radio Paradise (XTC, The Cure...).
