3DOSX is a three-dimensional Finder replacement for OS X that runs on machines with OpenGL accelerated hardware.
(Thanks, Scoo!)
Ok, I've played with it for a bit now, and aside from the fact that it's basically unusable as a replacement for the Finder, it's pretty F*ing cool. If it actually improved, I might actually use it.

Fucking God Help Me
Reading Burning Bird's surprisingly mild denunciation of Jonathon Delacour, in defense of the concept of the BlogSisters (which Delacour apparently called "breathtaking hypocrisy" (sidenote: when I first read it I thought he was talking about me)), I thought I could resolve the matter -- but it's so dangerous to come between a woman lecturing a man on How It Is, but what the heck here goes. Women think men are just like them, but in power, which can be forgiven because no one gets that people who are different from them are really fundamentally different, as different as men and women are. Women are organizers. Everywhere you go there are organizations of women doing things, planning stuff, making the world work. Men aren't like that. There isn't a "Boy's Club" where we get together to plot our world domination. But women always talk about the Boy's Club as if it existed....
[Scripting News]
OMFG. Dave has decided to shove his foot in it again(the Sexes thing). I mean, hey, his right. But....
Of course, being stupid, I'm going to do the same.
A) Sad Fact For Dave.
There Actually have been Boy's Clubs, or more precisely, "Men's Clubs". Perhaps a quick read about industrialists of the 1800-1900's would do you some good, Dave. I think it's also referred to as the "Good Old Boys Network".
So to sum up on that, there is(was) a Boy's Club planning "World Domination" (or at least maintaining it), you just weren't being invited to the meetings, Dave.
Fun fact Corrollary; there actually was a Riot Act. 'Stroo.
B) Sad Fact for us all:
Women DO generally behave differently from men. My opinion, being the father of a 4-year old, is that these differences are created VERY early on, and are simply reinforced for years after that, whether the parents do it or not. The only way to clear it out is to basically avoid anyone who doesn't embrace this kind of "bias" and not tap into popular culture at all.
I have a control in this respect, a friend who basically DOES do this, and they've ended up with a chile who seems remarkably balanced in this sense.

Fun with compatability
If I turn on OmniWeb's 'pretend to be IE 5.1 on OS X' compatibility feature, the site renders just fine.
Ironically, the site is broken if I try to visit via IE on OS X. [bbum's Radio Weblog]
Well, t's not like it's an unusual occurance, but it's still worthy of reminding people of how annoying crappy HTML coders are. Of particular entertainment is the "broken under IE" part. :)
