*sigh* I'm getting old....
This person over on Craigslist is offering $40 to install a hard drive in his/her iBook. To quote:
I will pay a qualifed person 40 buck to install the new internal hard drive I just bought for my computer. I have an iBook 600 mhz 12" laptop from March 2002. I am told this should take no more than an hour. Basically, I honestly feel that 40 bucks for an hour of work is fair.
Apparently his/her well-placed source neglected to mention that the iBook is a PITA to get into. Personally, I suggest he/she go look up directions and do it themselves.
What I love about it is the "qualified person" and I...feel that 40 bucks/hour is fair. Combined together. Why not just find a technically inclined friend and buy him/her a few beers to do it.
In the old days I'd be mailing a snarkier version of this post to the indivdual, now...meh.
Either I'm getting old or I'm starting to get a sense of perspective. Then again, what do I know, maybe we'd do it for $50. :)

Did I say "rest"? Hahahahahaha
So...I did get a rest..one day. Then Boom! Right into a major 30-plus-machines-in-one-week Mac OS X upgrade for a corporate client.
So...now I get some rest...except that I have to do some repairs to the stairs in Brockton. Got the cement and the bricks, I'll figure it out. Sorry for the lack of updates. Should be on a more normal schedule for a bit.
