The other day, a fellow board member on the UNSCC (United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County) reminded me how tenuous our digital existence is. He lost his home and office in the Oakland Hills fire in 1991. While I am reasonably good at backing up data, most of it is stored locally. Today, I started measures at making sure that important data on my system is backed up off site. Hopefully, I will never have to use the backups. 11:31:15 PM     Comment []
